Lt. Colonel's bike

Lt. Colonel Montgomery brought in his motorcycle parts after meeting up with Shawn at Greaser's Rod and Kustom Reunion.

The parts to his motorcycle have been prepped and primer has been applied.

The black specks are called a guide coat. Shawn is sanding the guide coat off, and as soon as it disappears, it is ready for paint.

Shawn is now spraying on the blue base coat.

The Colonel loved the idea of having eagles on his motorcycle, and was quick to tell Shawn to put his own twist on it.

Shawn is using a fine line brush to paint the feathers.

Next, Shawn free-hand pinstripes with red, white, and blue.

He finishes the tank with a ring of white stars, and the head of an eagle with feathers behind it on both sides.

Shawn added another red, white, and blue pinstripe design, with blue pearl feathers on the front fender.

The rear fender displays more free-hand pinstriping in the same color array, with feathers accenting the center of the design.

The main feature of the side panels is a ghosted image of an eagle's head, along with three patriotic stars.

When Shawn clear coated the pieces, he added blue pearl.

Thanks for everything Colonel!
