Day Racing

Shawn had the privelage of painting father/son helmets while he was in Illinois. Paul Day and his son Tyler Day go to the tracks together and race. Paul started racing 16 years ago at Coles County Speedway in Charleston, IL. Just in the last 7 years, Paul has won 4 track championships, 1 national championship, 2 regional championships, and over 60 feature wins.

Shawn airbrushed a racing flag on the front of the helmet, purple flames over the top, and finished with a pinstripe centerpiece.


Shawn also airbrushed the sponsor's logo, "Bee Graphics".

Tyler started racing a junior sprint car in 2002, but soon decided it wasn't quite what he wanted to do. Just 5 years later, in 2007, he decided to give it another try and has continued for the last year. So far, he has already won 2 features, and is well on his way to winning the track championship.

His helmet is adorned with real fire and a larger pinstipe design.
